Score!

After doing a little browsing on Kaelah's Closet, I spied this little number. I'm not much of a soft pink kinda gal but I love all the sequins. *need* Sadly, someone had already commented on wanting it. I woke up this afternoon to get something to drink and I checked my email really quick. Kaelah had sent me an email saying she saw my comment and basically said she had the same dress in black and it was mine if I wanted it. Score! Woohoo! I'll post pics once I figure out what to pair it with :)

Quite Possibly The Worlds Most Addictive Game. Ever.

I found and downloaded this game called Alchemy for my Droid. At first I thought it was the Alchemy game that I used to play on Yahoo Games. It wasn't. This one is MUCH more fun. You start off with 4 elements: Air, Fire, Earth and Water. You have to combine the elements two at a time to create a new element. Right now, there are 300 possible combinations. I'm at 241/300. You can create everything from beer to livestock to Faberge eggs. My favorite 'The Twilight Saga' and if you start playing and really think about it, you should have no problems figuring out which two elements to combine.

Off to figure out the other 59...

Kaelah's Closet is Back!

I just went through my closets and have about 6 bags of clothes that I either can't fit into anymore or I just don't wear. Maybe I should open up my own Closet!

Memory Lane: 1980's Fads

Wacky Wall Walkers: Found in almost every box of cereal so coated in sugar you could almost slip into a diabetic coma if you ate too much. Throw them on a wall (or pretty much any surface) and they would stick and slowly "walk" down. Unless they got dirty, then they would just stick for a few seconds and fall to the floor.

Neon: Anything.

Jelly Bracelets: They came in all sorts of colors and were good for flinging at people. The more you had, the cooler you were.

Jelly Shoes: Sure they were kinda cool but they gave you massive blisters and made you feet sweat like crazy.

MC Hammer Pants: I have no words for this one.

Garbage Pail Kids: A spoof of the Cabbage Patch Kids (see below) but instead of the sugar and spice, they were more snot and barf. Lovely.

Cabbage Patch Kids: My mom was actually the front end manager of a toy store when these dolls first came out. It was mass pandemonium. People got trampled! And yes, I had one. Her name was Ramona. I ended up with a Cabbage Patch Baby soon after but I ended up coloring it's head with marker that didn't wash off. She didn't get played with much. (This coming from the girl who used to cut all of her Barbie's hair off and then decapitate them.)

Hair Bands: The hole in the Ozone, it's from all of the Aqua-Net these guys used. True story.

Boy George: Enough said.

Once Again...

... I've finished another series and the next book doesn't come out until January. As in 4 months from now! The House of Night series is pretty awesome and if you enjoyed the Twilight saga or the Sookie Stackhouse series I think you'll enjoy the HoN books as well.

I picked up this book at Borders while going through their bargain bin. I think I ended up paying around $3 for it. At first I thought it was geared more towards the early teen age group but after reading it I was surprised at how dark some parts of the story were. An excellent read that I suggest to anyone. Young or old. Er, older. GP Taylor has also written a few more books about Mr. Mundi's adventures. Now I just have to track them down.

Memory Lane: 1980's TV Shows

Ah, the 80's. Do I really need to say more? Over the weekend I was going through some old photos and got a bit nostalgic so, here we are. I thought I'd do a little Memory Lane series for all you late 70's - early 80's babies.

Punky Brewster - It's funny how this mismatched multicolored look has come back.

Scooby-Doo (Pre Scrappy-Doo) - Yes, I still watch it.

Solid Gold - Had you asked me when I was little what I wanted to be when I grew up, my first choice would have been a Solid Gold dancer. Runner up was a dolphin trainer.

The Love Boat - Sadly the only thing I remember from this show is the theme song. The loooooooove boooooat...

Thundercats - Saturday mornings I was glued to the tv. This show is why. Yeah, Lion-O is hot.

Mr. Belvedere - I secretly wanted him to be our butler.

MacGyver - Thanks to this show I know how to stop a bomb with a hockey ticket.

Knight Rider - I LOVED this show when I was little. Before Hasselhoff got all drunk and started getting taped by his daughter eating cheeseburgers and ranting like a lunatic.

JEM (And the Holograms) - Another show I totally loved. I think I even had a cassette tape with their music.

Gumby - Yes, I still watch this as well. There was an R-rated gumby spoof on YouTube a while ago that was hysterical but it's a little too R-rated for me to post here. (Bad language voice-over)

Growning Pains - Didn't we all have a crush on Kirk Cameron?

Fraggle Rock - I remember watching this on HBO before school.

Fame - Another show that made me want to dance by butt off. And the remake that they did last year is pretty amazing too!

CHPS - I love me some Eric Estrada!

The Jetsons - I actually found out this debuted in the 1960's! Who knew? I wonder if they have this on DVD... Hmmm...

Hope you enjoyed the little trip down memory lane!

Movie Time!

Mom and I are going to see this tomorrow and I can't wait!

Official Trailer #1

Official Trailer #2

Eat, Pray, Love Soundtrack
I couldn't find all of the songs on Playlist.com. I'm also disappointed that they didn't include "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence and the Machine which is the song from the trailer. I went ahead and included it on my playlist for you anyways.

Anyone else heading out this weekend for a movie?

Things I Can't Live Without

Tea
I keep trying to teach the cats to do this but seeing as they have no opposable thumbs, it's kinda hard.

I wish my tea pot did that!

Tattoos
I'm working on designing my next one. Isn't the detail in this one amazing?! Great movie too :)

Some old school designs.

Books
I've read quite a few the past month (Blog post coming soon)

Heels/Shoes
I'm a firm believer that one can never have enough shoes. And with heels, the higher the better. I've always wanted to be 6' tall!

I LOVE these. And the dresser as well.

I'm not really a soft pastel pink kinda gal. Maybe it's the bow that does it for me.

Cosmetics
Yes, I have spent $40 on eyeshadow before. Does that make me crazy? No. I've been wanting to try out some of Benefit's stuff forever. Maybe I'll buy myself a little gift ;)

What can't you live without?
